clevercompare.com is operated by Dyfyn Ltd ("we", "us"), registered office 14 Llys Caradog, Caerdydd, CF15 9JP. We are the data controller for information collected through this website. Contact us about privacy at hello@clevercompare.com.

CleverCompare no longer has enquiry, quote, call-request or account forms. You can't submit your name, contact details or financial information to us through this website. When you choose a provider, you apply directly with them, and their own privacy policy applies to the information you give them.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our request logs record the page, a coarse country, the referring page and a shortened browser identifier — not your IP address.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and page views. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify individual visitors.

When you click a provider link, we record which link was clicked and the page it was on. This doesn't include your name, contact details or IP address.

Our cookies: CleverCompare doesn't set any cookies of its own.

Affiliate tracking: when you click a provider link, you pass through a tracking link run by an affiliate network (such as Awin) or by the provider. The network or provider may set cookies or use similar technology on their own website to record that you arrived from CleverCompare, so they can pay us a commission if you buy. Those cookies are controlled by them and covered by their privacy and cookie policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

We process technical and click data on the basis of our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the site, and measuring which content is useful. We don't set cookies of our own; affiliate networks and providers are responsible for any consent their own cookies require.

We use service providers to host the site and store data (Vercel and Supabase). We don't sell personal data and we don't share it with providers for marketing.

Until October 2026, this website offered enquiry forms and accounts for financial products. That service has ended and no new information is being collected through it.

We are reviewing the information collected through that service. We will keep it only as long as needed to meet any outstanding obligations to the people who gave it (for example, settling cashback balances owed to account holders) and any legal requirements, and will then delete it securely.

Click records are kept for up to 12 months. Our hosting provider keeps request logs for a short period, typically no more than 30 days.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. Contact hello@clevercompare.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
